How it all started

This is the story about how my passion for photography all started.

I was always pretty creative, but I didn’t realize it. I thought that art was only drawing and painting, and I was never good at those. Despite that, my 5 year old self wanted to be an artist. Well, either that or an ice cream lady.

When I was in elementary school, we had to do a photography project. Up until that point, I wasn’t really sure what photography was. Taking pictures………… cool, but I didn’t know that it was an art form.

Throughout the project, I was trying all of these angles and noticing how amazing everyday items could look. I fell in love with photography from there. Future career here I come, but how? In high school, I joined the communications and technology Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM). From there, I took photography, communications technology, and graphic design courses.

Currently, I am in second year for my photography program and am well on my way to being what my elementary school self dreamed of! I am an artist, still working on the ice cream lady part.
